Defensive Pistol Course

Service Description

Become proficient with a pistol in a tactical manner. You will learn how to optimally use a handgun for self defense. We believe EVERYONE has a right to self defense to preserve the life of themselves or a loved one. You will learn how to safely handle firearms, shooting fundamentals, concealed carrier/home defender mindset, legalities in when to use a firearm, and most importantly you will learn when NOT to use a firearm as well. This is a great class if you plan on carrying a pistol! This class is intended for people that are brand new to guns to people that have been shooting their entire life. I promise you will walk away with a good bit of knowledge and skill. Become an asset, not a liability. 40% lecture/60% shooting. Class is 4-5 hours. Certificates are awarded upon completion. What we cover: Function of a modern pistol Firearms safety Shooting fundamentals Loading and unloading Malfunctions and how to quickly fix them Mindset of home defender Concealed carrier mindset and much more! Gear list: -open mind -good condition handgun *(if you do not own a firearm that's ok! we have guns and gear for a rental fee of $60!) -at least 2 magazines -carry holster -sturdy gun belt (not a dress belt) -100 rounds of ammunition (the more the merrier) -eye and hearing protection (will be provided at no additional charge if you need them) -weather related gear (rain jacket, sunscreen, bug spray, cold weather jacket, hat, etc.) -hydration (water or Gatorade) -snacks -unwrapped toy for boys or girls (they will be donated each year to our local Toys for Tots.
